n the title of the manuscript `Basso concertato` the note `solo continuo` has been added with the other hand. The composition was conceived as a concerto for a bass instrument and was very likely originally in a different key. Numerous errors clearly indicate the transposition. Maybe the version in C minor was made for a violone contrabass viola the tuning of which is a whole tone lower than the cello.
