Ivor Gurney (1890–1937)
BBC Symphony Orchestra, conducted by David Lloyd-Jones. Ivor Gurney was one of the `forgotten` composers (also a poet) of the First World |War. His post-war music conveys a real sense of horror and doom of the war. He is now being rediscovered.
