The most famous recording ever of this work! The legendary Mercury Living Presence recording, April 1958. Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra, conductd by Antal Dorati, Bronze Cannon (1775) Bells of the Laura Spelman Rockerfella Memorial Carillon, The Riverside Church. Following the 1812 is the Commentary recorded by Deems Taylor explaining how this (then) complicated and amazing recording was made. Best hide under the bed!
