Ivan Samarin (Èâàí Âàñèëüåâè÷ Ñàìàðèí; 1817, St. Petersburg - 1885, Moscow) - theater actor, playwright and teacher.
Since 1837 played at the Maly Theater, since 1862 taught at the Moscow Theater School, from 1874 headed the drama department at the Moscow Conservatory.
