I Fiamminghi Orchestra

Written in honor of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Krišjānis Barons (1835-1923), a collector of Latvian folklore.
The composition develops from silence to a powerful apotheosis, reminiscent of a solemn hymn (the title Lauda itself is translated as “praise” or “hymn”).

Recorded in 1996.
