The text of the essay is based on the novel by the German writer Peter Weiss “The Aesthetics of Resistance” (Die Östhetik des Widerstands).
At the beginning of this novel, the Pergamon Altar (a famous ancient monument of art depicting the Gigantomachy) is described in detail and monumentally.
The readers recite the text simultaneously in four languages: German, Greek, Finnish and Swedish.
