BBC Symphony Chorus

The name refers to the Old French language and the culture of the Occitan troubadours.
In the odd-numbered movements (1, 3, 5, 7), dedicated to the sea and travel, the choir sings wordlessly, becoming part of the orchestral texture. The even-numbered movements (2, 4, 6) are based on texts by Amin Maalouf and the Arab poet Abu Said.

1. Departure
2. Amour (Love)
3. Vagues (Waves)
4. Temps (Time)
5. Souvenir de vagues (Memories of Waves)
6. Mort (Death)
7. Arrivée (Arrival)
