Written under the influence of Florenskys essay Iconostasis in which the iconostasis is considered as the boundary between the visible and invisible worlds.
Originally conceived as a piece for a Russian seven-string guitar it was eventually written for a standard six-string guitar with a special tuning in G close to the Russian one.
