N. Orlovsky composed the opuses presented in this edition specifically for the `Foyer for You` musical evenings and the `Music Not for the Drawer` concert series at Moscow`s `Pyotr Fomenko Workshop Theater`. The two-part cycle `Fughetta and Waltz on Dies Irae` is based on music from Nikita Kobelev`s radio play `The Vampire` 2017 adapted from A. K. Tolstoy`s novella while the piece `Bird Trio` draws on music from Tatyana Donskaya`s film `Girls from Stalingrad` 2006.
