`Compositor Saint Petersburg` released Nikolai Orlovsky`s first sheet music collection - a piano album for children titled `Following the Brook`. It contained only a small fraction of the piano pieces composed by Orlovsky, prompting the publisher and the author to plan subsequent collections.
Below are the working titles of these upcoming cycles: `Hot Pies: Pieces for Piano and Beyond`; `Theatrical Sketches for Piano`; `Looking Out the Window: A Piano Album for Middle-Aged, Older, and Elderly Audiences`; `Assorted Pieces for Piano`; `The Future in the Past: A Collection of Piano Pieces` and others.
Today, we present one of these new works. It includes three pieces: `Remembrance of the Spy`, `Spy enters the Restaurant`, and `Someone`s tailing after the Spy`. Together, they form a cycle titled `Spy`s Routine`, based on Orlovsky`s music for the film `Shleif` (`Plume`, 2007, written and directed by Tatyana Donskaya).
