The arrangement of the Russian folk song (chastushka) `Semyonovna` for mixed choir was created in the summer of 2004 under the impression of travelling to folkloric expeditions.
During the preparation of this edition, the author edited the musical score, but urges performers not to regard this version as definitive. If `Semyonovna` inspires musicians to explore their own creative interpretations, they should not restrain themselves.
