Alexey Retinsky`s composition Antiphonae Marinae for 12 voices, vibraphone, bells was written by order of the Dominican Order and the vocal ensemble Alter Ratio for the project Mariology. The main idea was to combine old Latin texts (traditional liturgical texts of Gregorian chants, known collectively as Marian Antiphons) and new music — a kind of realization of the visual continuity of spiritual tradition and at the same time its reinterpretation.
