The notebook of piano variations on the theme of Vanya`s song from the opera `Ivan Susanin` is dedicated to the memory of Mikhail Ivanovich Glinka (100th anniversary of his death).
The variations were written by D.D.Shostakovich, V.Ya.Shebalin, D.B.Kabalevsky, G.V.Sviridov, E.A.Kapp, Yu.A.Levitin, R.K.Shchedrin and A.Ya.Eshpai.
