Written under the influence of Florensky’s essay “Iconostasis”, in which the iconostasis is considered as the boundary between the visible and invisible worlds.
Originally conceived as a piece for a Russian seven-string guitar, it was eventually written for a standard six-string guitar with a special tuning (in G), close to the Russian one.
