`The piece is written in a traditional form and showcases the virtuosic and tender qualities of both instruments. The first movement opens with a peaceful melody paired with ornate flourishes, and then continues with an Allegro section full of expansive melodies. The second movement is a gentle, elegant minuet, and the third movement, in a rhythmic 6/8, contains rich harmonies and folk elements, before concluding with the material from the beginning of the sonata.`
