How glorious that we have multiple performances here to compare and enjoy. In addition to a genuine from-the-source authenticity, one hears a personal passion and longing melancholy that could only have come from the composer himself. If there is any recording that captures the very soul of this remarkable composer, this is it. If you are a devotee of Sviridov`s music, this performances will leave an unforgettable impression.
